Wednesdays With Walter
Oct 28 @ 7:00 pm – 7:45 pm

Join Walter Bryant, PWUMC music director, for a mini-concert every Wednesday night. With a mix of tunes both religious and secular, plus his trademark wit, you’ll feel like you’re right there at home with him!

Walter does accept requests the day of the event — watch for the promo post on Facebook each Wednesday morning and comment to make your song choice heard!

Courageous Conversations Study
Oct 28 @ 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

“How to Have a Courageous Conversation” is a four-session series provided by the Discipleship Ministries of the United Methodist Church, and is designed to help local churches structure dialogues to move beyond impasses or hold conversations we’d rather avoid by discovering how to listen well and learn from others. In this course you’ll explore concepts that will help you or your small group engage in a range of conversations, from the color of the carpet to a thorny social issue.

This is a self-paced online class, which we will supplement with Zoom discussion groups each week. Topics will include:

  • Week 1: Getting Started
  • Week 2: Introduction to the Concepts
  • Week 3: Courageous Conversations
  • Week 4: Forces That Divide Us
  • Week 5: Implementation

This class is not intended as a place to debate topics, but instead to learn how to better engage in fruitful conversation with each other, no matter how polarized our world.

Worship on the Lawn 11-1-20
Nov 1 @ 9:30 am – 10:30 am

Are you missing worshiping in a group with others from PWUMC? While we remain in our COVID-19 response protocol, we’re trying new things, like Worship on the Lawn! Located in the firepit area (west side) of the building, this will be a chance to bring your lawn chairs and watch the church’s livestream worship on screens while social distancing. Registration is required, and there are only 100 spots.

Gathering as a community is one of the pillars of our faith, and we hope you’ll register online and bring your family to experience a fresh expression of community worship.

Masks and social distancing will be required at this event.

Curbside Communion
Nov 1 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Pastors Yvi, Britton and Choongho will be serving curbside communion to all who wish to participate. COVID-19 precautions will be taken, with everyone serving wearing masks and gloves, as well as continually sanitizing surfaces. Communion will be given in individual portions, and all who are receiving are asked to remain in the car and wear a mask.

Christmas “Adopt a Family” Program
Nov 13 all-day

Do you know a family that would be blessed by being a part of our “Christmas Adoption” program? If so, let them know that we are collecting applications now through November 13. This year our applications can be filled out electronically and participants can contact Brandi for more information about how to apply.

If you or your small group would like to adopt one of these families, please contact Brandi to be put on our list of adopters. Families will be paired up before Thanksgiving and we will ask that gifts be dropped off in the lower south parking lot on December 6. Once you sign up, you will receive additional information.

Welcome to PWUMC
Nov 17 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Welcome to PWUMC! We look forward to meeting you. At this informal meeting, you’ll have the opportunity to meet some of the pastors and members of the church, and ask some questions. Making time for this short meeting might just be the launching point to a new journey with Christ!

Please register below for access to the Zoom meeting, and if you have any questions, contact Pastor Britton Fields.
