Sometimes the most painful and heartbreaking parts of our lives are hardest to let others hold with us. So we bury our grief deep within. This will be a service of prayer and quiet and an act of remembrance. It will be a time to come together and commemorate and hold tenderly the loss of children that so many have experienced through miscarriage, infertility or death. Our language is lament to God, and our work is care for one another. All genders and ages are invited.
PWUMC has traditionally set aside one Saturday of each month as a day to serve together. Serving together as a church is an amazing opportunity to bless others and be blessed by going out into our community to show the love of Christ in real and tangible ways.
Hygiene kits are crucial for promoting health and well-being, especially in communities with limited access to resources like the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. These kits provide essential items like soap, toothpaste, and other hygiene products that have been identified as a need by our partners at the Bear Program.bmolina@plattewoodschurch.org or visit our Saturday Go Serve sign-up.
On Saturday, March 9th, you are invited to join others from Platte Woods Church at Senior Living at Burlington Creek to put together hygiene kits for the Bear Program. This opportunity is open to ages 7 and up (with parent participation). If you have questions or would like to sign up, please contact Brandi Molina, our director of Outreach and Mission at
