Grief is a difficult season to pass through. We offer a support group so no one has to go through this season alone. We provide education and support as we learn what healthy grief looks like and listen to each other’s stories. We welcome new participants at any time no matter where you are in your journey, or how long it has been since your loss.

Dr. Tex Sample will lead the class as they study John Wesley’s reading of the Bible. The first two sessions will be devoted to the ways John Wesley interpreted the Bible. The second two sessions will examine Wesley’s reading of scripture in the light of contemporary interpretations. The purpose of the class is to provide participants an acquaintance with Wesley’s interpretation of scripture and also with an introduction to something of what is going on today in the reading of the biblical text. We will use examples of Wesley’s approach to scripture as a way of making the matter of interpretation concrete and applicable to our own issues: specifically, his challenge of the Calvinists on predestination, his use of women in the work and preaching of the church, his lifelong opposition to slavery, and his mission with the poor.
Students in grades 6-12 are invited to Bible Study and Blizzards Tuesday nights in June at Dairy Queen in Parkville. Through this study, students will learn how to find their voice and place in the fight towards justice. During this four week study, using materials from Be A Bridge, students will look at what it means to be a bridge to self, truth, justice, and healing.
Ice cream is provided during this event! Students just need to show up ready to engage in discussion.

Almost 6th graders and their families are invited to a picnic at English Landing on June 14th! PWYouth will provide food and games. Starting Point: Parkville Nature Sanctuary
Ready, Set, Move! This Summer, Kid Connection is on the move as we learn we can follow Jesus here, there, and everywhere! We are learning that when we focus on what we know to be true about God and the world God created, we can have faith in what we can’t see or fully understand. We will take a family hike through the trails of the Parkville Nature Sanctuary together as we explore what God created all around us.
Some areas of these trails are a little rocky and covered in woodchip, so they aren’t ideal for strollers or wagons.
