Worship on the River is a great way to check out PWUMC or to see friends you haven’t seen in a while (while socially distancing, of course)! Join us for an evening of live music, uplifting messages from our pastors, giveaways and plenty of fun.
Have a friend or neighbor who would enjoy Worship on the River? Bring them along! And bring chairs or blankets so you can sit down and enjoy the evening.
This event will be held at EH Young Riverfront Park, allowing plenty of space to spread out while having fun. We ask that everyone attending wear masks in order to ensure the highest degree of safety possible.
If you have any questions or if you would like information, please contact Julie Moise.
We’re kicking off the autumn season with a subscription box full of fall fun! All available from your car in the PWUMC parking lot.
Each month, our Kid Connection, Student Ministry and Missions Ministry will compile a “subscription box” for your family. Each box will have activities designed to help you and your family grow in faith and strengthen your community through acts of service! For October, our box theme is “It’s Fall Y’All.”
We are planning to have a little fun with this month’s pickup and create a modified Trunk R Treat. Instead of your kids walking through in their costumes, you will drive them through the parking lot and our trunk hosts (who will be spaced to allow for social distance) will greet your family with waves & smiles. Once you reach the end of the route, you will be able to drop off your Happy Kits (for those who participated in September’s Do Good Challenge) and pick up the latest subscription box.
“I can’t think of two more perfect books of the Bible to dust off and dig into than 1 and 2 Kings. What appears from the outside looking in as ancient text about long-ago leaders with faith-faulty hearts isn’t so far removed from addressing the exact issues we need to examine in our own lives.
“In this study we will spend time with some people who may be familiar to you, but more than likely, we will meet a few royal men whom we previously didn’t know all too well. As we study the lives of several Old Testament kings, we will learn together from their mistakes, misplaced affections and successes.
“My prayer for you in this study is that you will discover that God alone is worthy of our trust and worthy to rule our hearts. I’m praying that together we’ll overcome our doubts about who He is so that we can rest in Him. I’m so grateful to be taking this journey with you.”
Tuesdays, October 13-November 17
10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. or 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

PWUMC has copies of the book for this study available for purchase for $16. Pickup for the book will be on Sunday, October 11, in the church parking lot (times TBA).
