New Ladies’ Bible Studies

I Can Only Imagine, Tuesdays through October 2

Jesus met a lot of people who were stuck, but Jesus saw through their circumstances and fulfilled their deepest needs. In this 28-day journal, you will embark on a journey through Jesus’ life and ministry that will lead you to recall your past wounds, reorient your present identity and reimagine your future. Cost is $15. Two classes will be offered on Tuesdays, August 28-Oct. 2.

6:30-8:00 pm Evening class is led by Sharon Milburn and Rhonda Biesel. Please register with Sharon.

Job–A story of unlikely Joy by Lisa HarperOct. 9-Nov. 20

How is it possible to hold onto such joy in times of sorrow? Discover the redemptive side to Job’s story of suffering. Learn to use pain to strengthen your faith, point others to the gospel, and remember God’s providence will never take you to a place where His grace will not sustain you. Two classes will be offered on Tuesdays, Oct. 9-Nov. 20.

Events

Ladies’ Day of Renewal
October 20, 9:00-3:00 (8:30 coffee, tea, muffins and fellowship)

You are invited to a virtual cozy mountain lodge where you will explore the story of Ruth and Naomi through a variety of activities inviting you to experience God’s story with each other.

You will enjoy uplifting worship, connect with other women, have time for quiet reflection, enjoy fun activities, receive gifts of encouragement, delight in a day away from routine, make s’mores by the firepit and enjoy a delicious catered lunch.

You will leave relaxed and refreshed with a renewed sense of God’s love and presence with you and very likely have made some new friends!

Things You Need To Know

  • Lunch will be provided
  • Free childcare with reservation by Oct. 17. Please bring a sack lunch for your child.
  • Friends are welcome. Invite everyone you know. Just be sure they are registered.
  • We will meet in the Sanctuary which will be transformed into a cozy mountain lodge.
  • Cost is $15. You will receive a catered lunch as well as multiple gifts. When you register online, you will be able to pay with your credit card. Scholarships are available. Please speak to Cindy Breon regarding this possibility.

Ladies’ Christmas Tea
December 4, 2018 at 6:30, Social Time 6:00-6:30 p.m.


You are invited! The Tea is a wonderful time to prepare women for the delightful, yet chaotic season of Christmas. This is a great opportunity to invite your friends and family to this fun, uplifting event as we celebrate Christmas together.

Ongoing Groups

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Mondays at 6:30 p.m. or Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.
Come knit or crochet a prayer shawl while enjoying fellowship with other women. They are glad to teach you to knit or crochet. The shawls are given to people who are experiencing a difficult time in their lives to remind them that they are not alone. You are welcome to come anytime.

Friday Morning Moms’ Group
Fridays, 9:15 – 11 a.m. (when the Park Hill School District is in session).Resumes August 24, 2018
The Friday Morning Moms’ Group is open to all moms! We are a Bible study, prayer and support group. Free childcare is provided (reservation required). Contact Beth Fleck to register childcare needs.

(M3) Moms, Mamas, and Mothers Group
Monthly meetings (during the school year); first Tuesdays from  7-8:30 p.m
Could you use a little support and encouragement? Whether your children are newborns or decades old, you’re invited to M3. Moms, mamas, and mothers are all invited to M3 on October 2 at 7:00 in Room 250. We will be making a fall craft to warm our hearts and homes as we begin learning about how to become “a mom set free.”  Please RSVP your attendance to Mandy Phillips. Childcare reservations must be submitted to childcare@plattewoodschurch.org by September 26.  Please note, a $5 supply fee will be collected.
