Scott Shaw is the Contemporary Worship Leader at Platte Woods Church. His job is to lead our worship band, select and arrange music, and help shape musical experiences that help our community seek God every week. Scott comes to PWC with 28 years of worship leading experience.  

Scott is also an independent music artist and composer. You can find his innovative violin and orchestral releases on all streaming platforms.  After graduating with a Master of Divinity degree from Truett Theological Seminary and a Master of Church Music from Baylor University in Waco, TX, Scott and his wife Candace moved to Kansas City.  They have lived here ever since, now with the addition of two children and two cats. Beyond his passions for music and family, Scott is an enthusiastic Star Wars fan, guitar pedal and recording gear nerd, BBQ lover, and devoted coffee drinker.
