Birth - 5th Grade
Who are we?
At PW Kids we are dedicated to creating a loving and welcoming environment where even our youngest friends have the opportunity to participate in our church practices of Gather, Go, Give, and Go. We want all kids to feel they belong, to encourage their curiosity as they grow in their faith, and to support them as they find the courage to fully embrace who God has created them to be.

If you’re a first time guest, filling out a registration form before you come will help your visit run smoothly. We have a safe and secure check-in process to keep your kids safe while they are in PWKids.
What to expect Sunday morning
PWKids Check In
At Platte Woods Church, kids are always welcome in Worship! Those who take part in PWKids, will check-in through a secure, computerized system prior to entering their age-appropriate room. Check-in stations for all ages (birth-5th grade) are located on the main floor. Every family is assigned a family security code that both child and parent wear.
Check In For Kindergarten - 5th Grade
9:30 hour: kids K-5 will check in at the desk in the gathering space starting at 9:15. Families will worship together until approximately 9:45, when kids will be called to an exit door to be taken to their small group rooms. Parents will pick up their kids at their rooms at the conclusion of service.
11:00 hour: kids K-5 will meet in our Kid Central room. Check-in will begin at 10:45 and parents will pick up their kids at the conclusion of service.
Babies & Toddlers: 2 Years & Younger
Children 2 and younger are cared for in our crib nursery or toddler rooms filled with music, story time, and interactive play. The nursery will be open for both worship services each week and check-in begins 15 minutes prior to service on the lower level.
Preschool
Preschoolers are invited to explore God’s Word in an interactive and engaging way at both 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Circle time, music, crafts and games are often a part of their experience. Check-in for this group begins 15 minutes prior to each worship service, and concludes at the end of each worship service.
Kindergarten - 3rd Grade
In our elementary environments, we desire to connect kids to God and one another through high energy worship, engaging Bible stories and small group activities.
4th & 5th Grades
We call it “Route 45!” Preteens in 4th and 5th grades are at a pivotal time in their spiritual life when they often begin to ask questions about faith. We want to offer them a fun and encouraging environment and show them how to apply truths from the Bible to their lives at school, with friends, and at home with their family.

Safety Procedures
Because we care deeply about the welfare and safety of every child and youth who participate in the programs and ministries provided by PWC, we take seriously our responsibility to do everything in our power to see that no physical, emotional or sexual abuse occurs in any ministry setting sponsored by PWC.
We recognize every person as a child of God who is created in the image and likeness of God. Therefore, we have a strong commitment to make the church a safe place for children and youth. Supervision policies and procedures are in place.
The PWC “Because We Care” policy includes having all adult volunteers screened and registered.
