Michael Elliott has attended Platte Woods Church since December 2020, and joined staff as the Welcome and Connections Coordinator in September 2023. Michael enjoys his responsibilities of welcoming guests and helping people get connected with PWUMC’s many different ministries to support our shared practices of gather, grow, give, and go.

Michael grew up in the Methodist church in a small town in southwest Iowa. He worked as a camp counselor at a United Methodist church camp for five summers. He got his degree in elementary education with an emphasis in learning disabilities from Northwest Missouri State University. He has lived in the Kanas City area for over 20 years.

Michael has four cat children with his husband, Adam. In his spare time, he enjoys collecting clocks and toy banks, and playing volleyball. When not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
