Deborah Bryson joined PWC staff in October 2023 as the Administrative Coordinator and Assistant to Pastor Yvi. Deborah has a bachelor’s degree in music education and master’s degree in music education with a choral conducting emphasis, both from the University of Central Missouri.  

Prior to working at Platte Woods Church, she taught one year of K-12 vocal music, followed by 7 years of elementary music in the North Kansas City school district. While teaching, Deborah had the opportunity to serve in many leadership capacities, as well as being elected as the Vice President of Elementary Music Education for the Missouri Music Educators Association.  

Deborah is married to Kirk Bryson and tries her best not to embarrass him with public words of affection any time the opportunity arises, though she is not always successful. Together they have two daughters, Lucy and Penny, and three cats, Lil Brudder, Pam Beesly, and Toasty Marshamellow. Deborah has unashamedly embraced her status as an obsessed cat lady. In her spare time, you can find her painting, doing crafts, putting together puzzles, and listening to as many audiobooks as possible.
