Reverend Cassie O’Brien is an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. Rev. O'Brien answered her call to vocational ministry in 2011 and began working as a youth director at New Horizons UMC (Columbia). Cassie earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri and taught high school mathematics in her hometown, Lexington, MO, while also working as a youth director at her home church.

In 2018, Cassie earned her Master of Divinity from Saint Paul School of Theology and was awarded the Roy M. Brady Preaching Award. In 2023, she also earned her MBA with an emphasis in Practical Church Leadership from Dakota Wesleyan University. She has been appointed to serve Camden UMC, Mt. Washington UMC (Independence), and Broadway UMC (Plattsburg). Additionally, Cassie serves as a member of the Council on Finance and Administration in the Missouri Annual Conference.

Cassie loves the Kansas City Royals, the Missouri Tigers, trying new recipes, and spending time with her three daughters.
