PWUMC offers four different worship services every week, and we hope you’ll find one that helps you in your journey! Weekend services have the same sermon, but with different supporting elements and music. Our Mid-Week Chapel service has a separate short sermon.
Ready for in-person worship? We offer two distinct in-person services every Sunday.
- Sundays at 9:30 a.m. — contemporary music (K-Love style) and a modern feel, held in the Worship Center (children K-5th worship with their families for the first 15 minutes of worship: visit our Kid Connection page for all the details!)
- Sundays at 11 a.m. — traditional music (hymns and four-part harmonies) and a more formal feel, held in the Sanctuary
In response to the current Kansas City area mask mandate and in order to continue our primary goal during this pandemic of “do no harm,” masks will be required at all times for everyone ages 5 and up while in the building. Children are always welcome in worship, so we hope your whole family will join us. If you’re new to PWUMC and have questions about our Children’s Ministry, please visit the Kid Connection page or contact Jen Bruce, director of Kid Connection.
Sanctuary Prayer, a new Sunday morning prayer meeting, is designed to prepare your heart for worship through a pastor-guided devotion and a personal time of prayer. Whether you’re headed to worship at 9:30 or to a small group, this time of congregational prayer can enrich your individual spiritual growth. Sanctuary Prayer meets in the traditional Sanctuary at 8:50 am each Sunday.
On Wednesdays at 1:30 pm we offer Mid-Week Chapel, an intimate service in our Sanctuary with traditional hymns, sharing of joys and concerns and a sermon from one of our pastors.
Prefer to worship online? Our online service premieres on Facebook Live and our livestream at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. If that time doesn’t fit into your schedule, you can watch on-demand starting Saturday at noon in the video player below.
You’ll find full service recordings of each week’s worship services, both Contemporary and Traditional, right here in the player below. No matter the day or time, we hope you’ll worship with us, and let us know you were here at left!
