Veterans Day Service

Congregation and community members are invited to a celebration and recognition of those who have served in the armed forces at Platte Woods UMC. This live Veterans Day Service will include an opportunity to gather in person (masking is required) and give thanks for those who served as well as their families and support systems. A variety of music will be offered, local veterans and families will be recognized, and former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant and Iraq Veteran Reverend Jess Horsley, the new associate pastor at Platte Wood UMC, will share a message. The event has no cost and is open to all people of all ages. A service representative from the VA will be in attendance.

In addition to the service, there will be an opportunity for veterans to network and share resources for care and community with local organizations set up in the lobby.
