We’ll discuss how to be invitational and remain focused on growth through a successful transition.

Since well before 2016 when we had the first worship service in our new Worship Center, PWUMC been working on growing the kingdom of God in the Northland of Kansas City. We have aligned our mission of “Leading people to follow Jesus” and our vision of being the place that brings unchurched young families in the Northland into relationship with Christ. Our church is known in the community for caring for others and each other. When we talk about what we do here, we often reference “from cradle to grave.” From our Children’s Ministry, Parents’ Day Out and Sunbeams Preschool to our Senior Adult Ministry, we provide a place for people in every phase of life to learn about the grace of Jesus Christ.
Sometimes pastor transitions bring about unrest and provoke a sense of uncertainty. We are blessed to be a part of a congregation that participates in the life of the church and we know that our success is not reliant on any one person. The senior pastor owns a critical role in our church, but we all play a critical role in God’s kingdom.
