Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, the 40 days (excluding Sundays) leading to Easter. The mark of ashes upon our forehead (or hand) is in recognition of not only our mortality but our need for repentance. The season of Lent is an opportunity to turn our attention back to God and prepare for the gift of eternal life, which we celebrate at Easter. We will have 2 opportunities for you to receive ashes.
- Stop by the Parkville Coffee House between 7:00-11:00 a.m. to receive ashes.
- Join us for our Ash Wednesday Worship Service in the Worship Center at 7:00 p.m. where you will receive ashes and Holy Communion. Childcare is available for 3 years and under. All are welcome!
