Platte Woods United Methodist Church

Platte Woods United Methodist Church spent the weekend of May 1-2, 2010, "Takin' It to the Streets" in our community. Normal worship services were replace with service projects. A few of the highlights (see our photos page for pictures):

• Over 3,800 volunteer hours logged
• 300,000 meals packed with Numana, Inc. for distribution in Haiti
• 18 widows and shut-ins helped with maintenance and yardwork
• Local parks and church grounds maintained
• Hillcrest Ministries supported with maintenance help
• Local retirement homes entertained with song and fellowship
• Area Hispanic UM church assisted with organization and meal preparation
• Party held for disabled persons in Platte County
